Jefferson Co. PWSD No. 12 is asking for our customers' help in determining what type of service lines supply their building.
In an effort to remove 100% of lead service lines in the U.S., the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is requiring every public water supply in the nation to submit the type of material all service lines are made of. This is required on both the customer's side (water meter to building) and the water supply side (main to water meter). While the District is not aware of any lead lines in our system, we are required to submit the requested information to the EPA.
In an effort to streamline the collection of data, we have developed a short survey form that may be completed and submitted on a computer or mobile device by someone familiar with the water lines in your home or business.
